Wall of phone cases and accessories inside Mobile Telecom Porto on Rua da Alegria
Accessories and telecom

Accessories we tested
before we stocked them.

We spend all day inside broken phones, so we know precisely which case survives a fall on cobblestones and which cheap charger cooks a mainboard. We sell what we would use ourselves.

Extras Phone lanyards and holders on the shop display rack

Lanyards, holders and the extras nobody thinks to buy

There is a whole shelf given over to the small things that solve everyday problems: neck lanyards for people working with their hands full or photographing the city without wanting to drop the phone, grip rings and back holders, car mounts and tripods. These are ten or fifteen euro purchases that prevent exactly the kind of fall that brings us customers with a smashed screen.

  • Adjustable lanyards up to 71 cm, with an adapter that fits any model
  • Car mounts for air vents and for the dashboard
  • Stick-on grip rings and back holders for one-handed use
  • Tripods and desk stands for video calls and photography

SIM cards and eSIM for anyone who just arrived in Porto

You have landed at Francisco Sá Carneiro, roaming is either expensive or not working, and you need data today. We sell Portuguese prepaid cards with generous data, activate them in store and set up your phone before you leave. If your handset supports eSIM it is even simpler: five minutes to install and you never touch the SIM tray.

  • MEO, NOS and Vodafone prepaid cards activated and tested at the counter
  • eSIM configured while you wait, with compatibility checked first
  • Plain explanation of data allowances and validity, no small print
  • Help keeping your original number live alongside it on dual-SIM phones

Our criteria

Why we deliberately don't stock everything

A repair shop selling bad accessories is manufacturing its own future workload. We would rather not.

Tested at the bench

If a charger runs too hot in our own testing, it never reaches the shelf.

Certification that means something

Genuine CE marking and over-voltage protection on anything that touches mains power.

Fitting included

Protectors and cases fitted by us, there and then, with no bubbles and no trapped dust.

Neighbourhood pricing

We are off the tourist axis and our prices reflect it.

Before you buy

Questions about accessories

Especially the ones that stop you coming back with a phone damaged by the accessory itself.

Will the glass protector really go on without bubbles?

We fit it ourselves, in store, and that is the whole difference. We clean the screen with isopropyl alcohol, lift the dust with adhesive tape and use an alignment frame. If a bubble forms around a trapped speck of dust, you get a second protector at no charge. Plain air bubbles with no dust in them usually disappear by themselves within twenty-four hours.

Will a more powerful charger damage my battery?

No, and it is a myth we hear every week. The phone decides how much current it accepts, not the charger. A 65 W charger delivers an iPhone exactly what the iPhone asks for. What genuinely destroys batteries and boards are chargers with no regulation at all — the unbranded two-euro ones whose voltage wanders and slowly cooks the charging circuit.

Do you stock accessories for older models?

We keep permanent stock for the handsets in widest circulation, but we can order cases and protectors for older or unusual models within two to three working days at no extra delivery cost. Send us the exact model on WhatsApp and we will confirm availability the same day.

Can I try the earbuds before buying?

You can and you should. We keep demo pairs of the main models with sanitised tips. Noise cancelling is an intensely personal thing — what sounds superb to one person gives another a headache after half an hour. Always worth listening before spending eighty euros.

Will a Portuguese SIM work in my foreign phone?

If the handset is carrier-free, yes, immediately. If it is locked to a network in its country of origin, a Portuguese card won't register — but that is also something we fix here, through our unlocking service. We always test the card in your phone before you leave the shop.

Come in and try it before you decide.

We'll bring the case and protector to the counter, fit them with you watching, and only then take payment.
